Understanding Insurance Limits for Rideshares

Ride-sharing companies in most states do not have the same high insurance limits as taxicab companies. To get higher coverage limits, a rideshare company driver must buy an expensive commercial endorsement for their personal vehicle policy. But in Indiana, transportation network companies, referred to as TNCs, when a TNC driver is on a prearranged trip, must have a million dollars of insurance coverage to cover bodily injury to passengers and property damage.
